New Challenger Cabinet
Finally broke down and got a Challenger cabinet for my Egg. Was going to build a wood table but the couple fire stories were enough to scare me I will feel completely safe with this cart. I worried about tipping the nest also.

Congratulations it looks really nice. I know what you mean I have been designing my table for a couple of months now but am leaning towards just getting the nest handler and a separate prep table. But I think this is the best of both worlds.Lexington TN

That will be the table we get after we rebuild from our fire. Congrats.

I was looking at one today at my dealer for my XL. He said it cost $1800. I don't think my better half would go for that, but I bet it would last as long as the egg. What did the one for the large cost?XL, WSM, Coleman Road Trip Gas GrillKansas City, Mo.

Those carts are very well made IMO.

mshump said:Wowee! That's pricey. I ordered direct from Challenger and I paid $873 plus $150 to ship.

I saw the BGE challenger carts at a fest today. Holy crap, they're nice. 3.7K though... I nearly spewed my drink through my nose.

That twice what I have been quoted. Around $1800 for an XL table. There is one I think around $2000 something that I like the best. I'm still deciding what I want to do. I my just buy a SS prep table for now tell I can afford what I want.Eggcelsior said:I saw the BGE challenger carts at a fest today. Holy crap, they're nice. 3.7K though... @Ladeback69 I'm talking about the special edition BGE ones that came out last year. Here is the small one that is 2k.

Eek!! Pricey, but still very nice. Anyone ever converted a SS kitchen island/table into an egg table? I saw some nice ones online in the $400 range.
-
I am just gonna drop the $4k for an xxl and use my XL as a prep area. Guess its kind of a stupid post but I could do it for the same money as these carts.

I picked up the same cart as mshump at the PNW Eggfest. Love it! I had my large in a nest with just the side tables to work on. No matter how organized I tried to stay my BBQ stuff was always scattered in different storage areas, now it's all in one place. What an improvement.
I thought they were too pricey until I saw one. It's an extremely well made & designed cart. I think they're a good value for the price.
