Leaky Egg!

I just put my Large Egg back in the table this afternoon and I noticed the top had a back to front slant. I lined up the top the best I could. Previously, it had a bit of an underbit but only leaked a little on the right. Well, I cooked some burgers tonight and there was a leak on the entire back half. How can I lower the back of the lid? Should I take it back to the slight underbite and deal with the side leak?

Thanks for your help.

Thanks. That's the video I was looking for. I think I need to loosen the top band a little and let it settle down on the back end.

Thanks. There is a clear back to front slant with the lid. It's like it's jacked up in the back.

@Eggbertsdad‌ loosen the bolt and play with it. Try changing the angle of the top ring then tighten and test. Then the bottom tighten and test. Repeat as needed

I test mine and play with the alignment every few months. IMO getting that good seal is a key piece to steady temps and locked in moisture.

I'm a perfectionist so I probably go above and beyond what is needed.

Thanks. You're talking about the bands around it, right? I think I over tightened those. I'll loosen them, get it seated properly and tighten them up. Hopefully that will help.

Yup! The angle and position of those is the biggest driver of the seal IMO
