Want to enter into a new realm of cooking on the egg. Whats a good size wok for a large egg? Wooden handle or just the 2 lifting handles? Round or flat bottom and if its a flat bottom do i need a woo or spider extra? I know there is stuff posted on here from those who have used a wok before but cant seem to locate.

There were wok cooks going crazy here a year or so ago. A popular site was the wok shop. @Village Idiot recommended them. He was revered as the wok master.

I bought my wok from the wokshop.com, but mine isn't egg compatible, long straight wooden handle and the helper short wooden handle. I don't think you want wooden handles if you plan on using it inside the egg, but for the life of me, I don't see how you can wok on the egg anyway. Wok cooking is very high heat, virtually constant stirring of the food. IMO, the egg is designed to be closed and left alone. No point in firing it up for a 5 minute cook in a wok.

I'm no wok-egg advocate, but it's enough heat and lots of people do it. The lid is not closed nor used in any way....it's an open fire pit.

It's a technique that uses crazy high heat to develop a smokey, delicious stir fry, but without wood. Google it.
