Here's the last Twister that hit my home town North Platte F3 (my psychotic friend took these pictures). Fortunately only derailed a train in the rail yard with minimal damage to property and no lives lost. Be safe my friend.Husker_13 said:Awesome table and of course I really love the Husker bottle opener and Nebraska l. plate. Nasty in Omaha too yesterday with torrential rain and tornado warnings. Both of my BGE's came out unscathed which is all that matters:-)

clear Rutland to 500 should be fine for your application.NPHuskerFL said:@rrp do ya figure the exterior of the egg to be to hot to use clear Rutland (good up to 500℉ intermittently) or is the Ultra Copper (which shows good to 700℉ intermittently) a better suite? I already have the Permatex with the anticipation of ordering Rutland from you when it comes time. Thanks Ron.Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time -

It all turns black eventually.

Even adhering to the exterior of the egg to the table? I can understand it going black using the Ultra Copper for installation of the Rutland (gets black for obvious reasons). But, the clear shouldn't change in this application unless your saying it does so due to heat load? Pffft that's cool either way it serves the purpose I need it to.nolaegghead said:It all turns black eventually.

If you use your egg a lot you'll eventually get carbon black all over the gasket. I'll have to snap some pics of mine when I get home.

Not the base gasket brotha. The gap between the exterior of the egg to the SS table to help for rain etc. See pic (after I reset the egg on the new legs I'll have roughly a 1/8" or more gap.nolaegghead said:If you use your egg a lot you'll eventually get carbon black all over the gasket. Wait, you're talking about caulking the table top to the egg? Yeah, I'd use clear for that.
