Lamb Chops

My brother recommended that I cook some lamb chops at 400 degrees after they have been marinated in dijon mustard, aix-de-provence herbs and garlic.[p]Any other suggestions? How long should they take at 400 degrees?[p]thks

    FriendlyEgg,
Depends on thickness, but you don't want to go past "medium", about 135-140 internal temp. They will cook fast; basically all you will need to do is sear each side for 3-4 minutes if they are under 1.5 inches, Have fun.

  • Marvin,[p]Thanks for the times. I did them last night and they were spectacular. The only thing is, I wish I could have had a little more of a 'seared' crust - but because they were only around 1" thick, I don't think I had much choice.[p]Thanks for the advice.

I get my lamb chops at Sams. They are about an inch and a half. I cook them on the egg about the same as steaks. Although my starting temp is about 600. So 2 min turn and 2 min then dwell for 5 or 6 min depending how you like them. They come out perfect. With the temp being fairly high I don't marinate in olive oil ect. because it might burn. Any dry rub ingre. are good.
