I have family coming the weekend for my two year old's birthday party. I have 3 lbs of fresh sausage, a pack of 16 beef hot dogs, and 10-12 sirloin burgers from the market. Tell me if I am thinking right. Sausage first, grill at 300-350 with plate setter for about 45 minutes to an hour or until done. Next (take plate setter out), hot dogs and slowly bring up the heat as the dogs cook. Finally, take the dogs up and cook the burgers at about 450 - 500. 3-4 minutes each side and then close the vents for a couple of minutes. Also, 4-6 beers to make things go smoothly. Any advice to make things easier would be appreciated.

Sounds like a solid plan... I might just simmer the sausage first and then brown it on the egg direct at about 400, them the dogs and finally the burgersMSV Chill Spot

A friend if mine did these at a kids party and they were really popular! Take it up a notch!

I would do the sausage direct (possibly raised), but your timings seem to be right.

Here's a trick my mom used to do to keep the hot dogs and hamburgers from getting cold. When the dogs and burgers are done, put them in the their buns and put them back in the plastic bags the buns came in. Works like a charm.I've slow smoked and eaten so much pork, I'm legally recognized as being part swine - Chatsworth Ca.
