Fogo down to $28.97 on Amazon

Wow! Just a FYI. I'm not buying any because I picked up two bags earlier in the week when it was down to $33....then it went up to $39 and now this. Talk about fluctuation! When I bought it the site said it was "Out of stock" but I could lock the price in. My order has already shipped. I recently tried FOGO for the first time and I have to tell you, I am really impressed. I had been using Royal Oak and really didn't care for how smoky it left everything smelling - clothes, food, my hands, etc. Compared to the RO, the FOGO is excellent, IMHO. Happy Friday, all. :)

Thanks! I have 14 bags of RO in the garage, 1 unopened bag of Fogo in my office, leftover part bag of Fogo after filling the XL in my charcoal bins, and now 2 more bags on the way.

Okay, so I couldn't resist...I ordered two more bags. I'm new to egging...assuming I do a low and slow 2-3 times a month and quick cooks twice a week, any idea how long four bags will last me? That is one awesome price. :)

No idea, but I can bet that you will be egging more than that once you get your egg. ;)

@DMW - you're right! Right now I'm using the Kamado Joe Jr. until I pick up my XL at the PNW Eggfest in June. Training wheels....lol.

I just realized that Firecraft has free shipping over $99. Seriously considering ordering 10 bags of OO along with a steam grill cleaner.

My SWMBO thinks I am Hoarding lump, I don't think 220lbs of RW & 20lbs of OO is bad. The closest RW for me is a 2hr drive that I make once a month for work. Since I found this place I buy 4 - 8 bags at a time depending on room in my Explorer. When I walk in the salesman ask if it will be a light or heavy load today. :D

  • Thanks for the heads up. I ordered 10 bags. Still working through a stockpile of the old Wicked Good so I can wait awhile for the backorder in exchange for the good price.

Anybody know where the Fogo is produced?

@MaskedMarvel‌ The last time I ordered "Out of stock" on Fogo, my order shipped two days later. Keep the faith. :)

Haha. I will pnw. Also notice - this thread is doomed!! Not bumping to the top!!! Mods have deemed it not beneficial to BGE.

That's a crap strategy. How is a lump sale not beneficial to BGE? But there are ways around this.

Cut it OUT!!!  My garage is filling up fast.  But at $28.97 I couldn't resist - a couple more bags ordered.  I ordered 2 at $33 when they were out of stock (last week?).  Those have shipped and will be here Monday.  Maybe these will be delayed a little longer - GFU is getting a little miffed about climbing over bags of lump to get to her car.

The previous bags of Fogo I've ordered from Amazon (Prime) were well packed and arrived in excellent condition.  Excellent lump, in my opinion.  Definitely not as smoky as RO or BGE.  Dense, large pieces - I end up breaking many chunks into smaller pieces.  Easy to light (what isn't with a Map weed burner), little ash, and burns longer than RO.  I use it for both Low and Slow and higher temp cooks.
