My large ash tool is well to large for my small lol... I've been just cleaning out the ash when the lump is low enough where I can just take out the fire grate, but that can be a pain if there's still a lot of lump in the egg. Do any of y'all have any tips or what tools you use to clean the ash out of the bottom vent on the small?

Here's a "cleaner-outer" I made for my small with a piece of brass pop-riveted to a piece of strap metal. Works great for me!Re-gasketing America one yard at a time.

+1 @Chris_Wang suggestion of shop vac. That's what I use on my LBGE. Just make 100% sure lump is out (I'll normally wait at least 24hrs after a cook to do it...lump can have hot embers long after a cook).LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

I vacuum the ash. I don't use a standard Shop Vac but rather use our Ash Vac designed to contain the dust and embers.Lg Egg - Asheville, NC
