Brisket Rub on a Pork Butt

Not sure what I was drinking...er thinking, but I put a home made brisket rub on 2 Sams Pork Butts for a cook tomorrow. I kept thinking how odd it was to use Oregano, and no heat, but shrugged it off. Anyway, was wondering if there is either something I can add to the rub to help balance it out, or just go with it?
The rub consisted of:
1/2 c Paprika
1/3 c Brown Sugar
3 tbls Garlic Powder
3 tbls Onion Powder
2 tbls Oregano
2 tbls Salt

It's like salt easy to add and difficult to remove!!! But I'm thinking it will be fine as Butts are very forgiving and the rub is on the outside mostly. Just keep it a secret!!!

Thanks. I have some left over Butt Rub, I mayadd some of that tomorrow and maybe some Chile powder for a little kick.Do you guys spray apple juice on the butts while their smoking? If so, straight or watered down?

I have never sprayed at all!!!! Butts are easy and stop over thinking it, you will be fine. Just remember you can always add spices but if you have too much you can not remove it. Back when I first had my Egg I did 4 butts with 4 different rubs marked each butt with tooth pick so we would know what rubs were on each when done, guess what they all tasted the same after we pulled them. Yes all of them were in the same Egg during the cook.
