I'm doing a mold burn off like I was told ...and my egg started crying brown is this normal?

Yes its normal if you haven't used it in awhile in a moist area.
Not to get technical, but according to chemistry alcohol is a solution...

Ceramic is porous, you let yours set unheated in cold, damp conditions. That is just grease and moisture being pushed out by the heat. Icky, but no big deal.

Wipe it off with wet paper towels.each time it shows up. Use the Egg more often, especially apter a rainy period. It will clear up eventually.. Tears of under use of the Egg.
