Has anyone tried these? New hottest pepper in the world. It is from a place right up the road so I went and bought few bottles of hot sauce with diff peppers and one bottle of puree of just carolina reaper. I also bought pack of seeds for the reaper and I planted them last weekend. So hopefully around Aug-Sept I will have some of my own. No idea what I am going to do with that many peppers that hot ha.

Gotta love what a chile named reaper does to your ends...Little Steven said:Gotta love any chile that ends in reaper -
I love hot stuff. I put just a bit of the puree on end of a toothpick to taste. It certainly has a kick to say the least.Little Steven said:Gotta love any chile that ends in reaperBoom -

What do people use these peppers for, home defense?I love spicy stuff, but it's become such a pissing contest on who can create the hottest pepper.

I always get a kick out of watching videos of people eating hot peppers, but for this pepper all the vids I found include people throwing up.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

Ha! Some is that. But most of his sauces taste very good. I tried probably 10 while there. Just use less of than use something not hot like Tabasco. As far as this pepper goes I will do some in big pots of soup and chili. I will dehydrate and make rub for pork butt or jerky and the like. Just a little goes a long way.scottc454 said:What do people use these peppers for, home defense?I love spicy stuff, but it's become such a pissing contest on who can create the hottest pepper.Boom -
Pucker Butt Pepper Company...that sums it up.1 LBGE in Chapel Hill, NC

This company(http://www.oregontrailjerky.com/beef.aspx) makes a jerky that uses the Carolina Reaper pepper called Fire and Ice. I guess its too new to show up on their website. I bought some of it at a boat show in Milwaukee in March and it was very good. Hot but very good. Just eating one piece of jerky was not overpowering hot but (or should I say BUTT) gave me the same gastric burn as I would get from eating a considerable amount of a very hot salsa, if you know what i mean.
