Hi - I'm not much of a poster but a big fan of this forum!
I have a 3.75 lb bottom round roast - any suggestions on prep?
Thank you - Gordo

  • Gordo,
Try making Q-Babes Pot roast with it. My wife usually uses Bottom Round for pot roast instead of a chuck roast.

Everyday is Saturday and tomorrow is always Sunday.
  • Gordo,
'pit beef' ... . coat it heavy with kosher salt and rub of choice (i love dizzy red-eye express for this one or cowlick). .. [p]set up egg at 375 degrees dome temp with grid over inverted plate setter. .. .put roast on and let go till it hits 130 internal. . . pull and let rest for 20 minutes. . . [p]key here is to really thin slice it. ..'shave' it if you can (electric slicer works great here). ..serve it on kaiser rolls with horseradish or bbq sauce and raw onions. ..[p]yummy ...

Gordo,[p]I'm with Max on the set up and temp. I like to inject too.
