i've gotten a bunch of emails regarding getting everything to fit in the egg for a mad max (or other) turkey. ..one of the problems i know we all have is getting a roasting pan onto the plate setter with turkey inside. . .. i'm lucky enough to have that little trivet piece i use in my roasting pan to raise the turkey just a little bit above the bottom of my pan. .. .i know if you try to use a standard one-piece v-rack, it can raise the bird way to high (particularly a large bird). .. .[p]i saw a great v-rack at the safeway last night. . ..its a small metal frame, with adjustable pieces that form the 'V'. ..it will sit really low in the roasting pan, but still support any size turkey just above the pan bottom.... the perfect solution to the problem. . .here is a link to something like i'm talking about ...
