Brisket Drip Pan Question

Doing my first Brisket tomorrow. Not my first to ever cook, just first time Egg brisket. For those of you that use a drip pan what juices do you put in for brisket?

I've read that adding water to the drip pan and placing a briquette or two of Kingsford charcoal on the lump can help get you a smoke ring. Never tried it myself.
