Order fogo off amazon. Will easily go 30 plus hours. I did 2 shoulders turbo at 300-350 then did 3 racks of beef ribs at 350 and when I took the plate setter out I had only burnt through half the lump in close to 15 hours over 300. Fogo is the best low and slow lump I have ever used. Even better than the old wicked good.

Checked Amazon for Fogo. Over $43 for 35 pounds seems pricy even with free shipping.
Have you burned any of the red bag Kamado Joe? About $20 a bag for 22 pounds. Really liked it and it's very dense and long burning. Would not be my choice for a fast light after work cook but the best bag of lump I have used in years.
    Thank you,

    Very nice...
My first cook on my XL went for over 30 hours on the old "Picnic" brand lump. Still had lump left.
Good lump plays the major role in how long you can burn.

  • My XL will run for about 22 hours at 250F on a full load of coal. Pure beast mode!

@Photo Egg if you look at the other listing on amazon the 18 pound bags are $19.99. Saves a couple bucks over the 35 pound bag. When I started ordering it it was $35 for the 35 pound bag with free shipping. Either way the burn time I get really makes it worth the price. I wish I would have taken a picture i dumped the remainder of a 35 pound bag in my xl this weekend and the bottom pieces were still bigger chunks than any other lump I have found. I bet there was less than a pound of small crap from the whole 35 pound bag.

Sounds like nice lump. Would be great to find a bunch local...

Asked about getting pallet shipped to Houston. 36 bags of #35.
With shipping between 27-30 dollars a bag.

Wow score. I go down to Boca about once a year may have to drive down and check them out next time. That's about half price of what I am paying. I think I would get in a little trouble if 36 bags showed up at the house.

If you get a chance try a bag. I can find local and my last bag was fantastic. But the last RO deal of $8 for 17.6 pounds was to good to pass up. Picked up 20.

I will try the KJ for sure I just picked up the Junior so mise well try the lump. I only picked up 5 bags of RO I already had 100 pounds of fogo, a bag of natures own, and a couple bags of RO from RD. I really should have bought more RO at that price.
