Benzomatic Garden Torch

This might be the best accessory I've purchased since buying my LBGE. My use of the egg always goes down during the winter since I have to get out the extension cord and fire up the $1 fire starter I found at a garage sale. Standing out there, waiting for it, checking on it, etc., even in the summer was annoying.
With the torch (someone gave me 6 small canisters of propane, so I am using that), it takes about a minute and a half to get nice and lit and gets to temp that much quicker. I have to give my fiance credit, it was a great Valentine's day gift.

If it's the same one that I have you will love it. And those little propane bottles last a long time. I read somewhere that they quit making them though. They were sold as weed burners.
Not to get technical, but according to chemistry alcohol is a solution...

Here is mine if it is the same thing. Sideways, sorry.

I love my weed torch. It's loud as hell and my Pompass neighbor hates it.... I go through a lot of propane. Lol. The pic is from last summer:

That is the same one that I have. The bottles were dated by me as 1977 (I have two bottles still) and those suckers are still full of fuel.StlEggGuy said:Here is mine if it is the same thing. Sideways, sorry.LARGE, MINI BGE SAN DIEGO, CA An alcoholic with a barbecuing problem. -
Here's the link for Amazon - $40. Never any question about lighting, and if you care, it can do weeds too! http://www.amazon.com/Bernzomatic-19425-Self-Igniting-Discontinued-Manufacturer/dp/B00008ZA0F/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1394201143&sr=8-5&keywords=bernzomatic+torch

Yep, that is the one. I just hold it up and this thing is good enough even with propane and not MAPP.
