It's just rubbing Florida. It's hand is in your front pocket.

Isn't Florida fairly religious? I'd wager it's some form of Bishop flagellation.henapple said:Pocket pool -
@henapple No worries......it's entertaining and made a deal on the F-150 a couple of hours ago.

Yeah, texted him at school to tell him it was his. He's all kinds of fired up. It's a couple of hours away and we'll drive up Saturday to pick it up.
Thanks again for everyone's input. T'was not my intention to start a border war or relive WW II.

No worries. My grandfather was the same way with Japanese products. He was in the Navy and helped cleanup Hiroshima after the surrender. There is a reason the Allies rebuilt Japan and Germany. That's why they are friendly to us today.

My father fought in new Guinea and Philippines. When i drove home in a yellow corona in 1968 he was like "what?" then one day he drove it someplace. Came back and said 'damn nice car".. Me, I would buy a Ford over a GM or Chrysler - better product AND I will have nothing to do with the other two companies - but - the old 225 slant 6 was one of the best engines ever.Browninggold said:My Dad fought on Iwo Jima..My Uncles brother died on Iwo Jima. Therefore I have Toyota Avalon and a Lexus in my driveway. B4 those 2 a 1990 Camry with 250,000 miles. No mechanical issues. Before that a new 98 and 99 F-150. Love the Lexus and Toyotas for resale and dependability/reliability. Lexus was manufactured in the nation above ours

Agree. Got a little political there. Not intended.caliking said:let's not lose sight of the big picture here - his son just got a truck!! I know I would be super stoked if it were me. -

Go with the F-150 - Bought a 2005 a few years back with 69K and "Big Red" is still going strong. I really love that truck and, of course, my wife thinks I'm nuts (until she needs me to haul something).Milton, GA.

I agree on replacing timing belt, on either, if not done recently.Richmond and Mathews County, VA. Large BGE, Weber gas, little Weber charcoal. Vintage ManGrates. Little reddish portable kamado that shall remain nameless here. Very Extremely Stable Genius.

Loved it......it was even cleaner than we had expected. He and I switched off driving it home and it runs smoothly. Also found a treasure trove in the glove box on the way home of receipts of each and every maintenance performed over the life of the truck. Owner was not only meticulous about keeping it up cosmetically and mechanically, but also about keeping his records.
