African Chicken Peanut Stew

I did a spatch chicken a few nights ago with @mickeys coffee rub and it was outstanding as usual. I always have leftovers since it's just the wife and I so I was looking into trying something different. Found this recipe online for this stew and I wanted to try it. I parted out my chicken and fired up the egg. Got it up to 300 indirect. I did the prep work like sauteing the onions and garlic inside before adding all the ingredients. Cooked for about 5 hours or so coming out stirring ever few often. I think it was done sooner but was waiting for the wife to get home. I added a link to the recipe and did some modifications (like adding chicken). http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/emeril-lagasse/african-peanut-soup-recipe/index.html I loved this stuff and made enough to last me a while.image

He must be an amalgamation of Cali and VI with the recipe and pic quality.

Being mentiond in the same sentence as those guys is an honor. VI's picture quality is bar nun and something I would love to be able to match.
I felt I got a pretty good one with this and the wife is proud of her new dishes.

    Looks good man!

And don't listen to @henapple... drunk charcoal pushers from middle Tennessee are nothing but trouble. I wish I could take better plated shots like yours.

Looked real good...until I saw curry powder. Can't stand that stuff. You need to start posting more, Tuttle. Your cooks are always so interesting and unusual. A break from the norm for most people for sure.

Looks very good.  I like cooks that use peanuts.  Good job.  A little peri-peri and it would have been perfect :-)

Nicely done sir, when I made mine I also used fresh ginger as well. And I tossed in peanuts as well.
