potato soup. ..again

Well...they asked for it so I delivered. This time I add a lb of kielbasa. Really good. A neighbor friend broke her leg so I guess the egg will stay rolling. I was supposed to leave for Texas tomorrow but with the ice and 0 degree weather I'm staying home to make sure nothing needs my attention. The wind just started blowing around 40 mph and the temp dropped 10 degrees in 5 minutes. It's here.

Does a bear....? I cook the bacon and use the grease instead of butter. With a 7 quart do you can double the recipe.Green egg, dead animal and alcohol. The "Boro".. TN

I went back and looked at your last potato soup post and saw that I had already asked that. Sorry. I bake them in the skins, then scoop the pulp out and save to make tater skins.

Can't help but ask but how cold can it get in Houston or Richardson TX? Currently -6 and -27 wind chill in southern Indiana.

Made some more today also. Added the kielbasa too. It was even better then the first batch. Whole family loves it. I added less cheese this time and took another hint from @henapple and used the bacon grease instead of butter, makes a difference. I also sauteed a cup or so of chopped sweet onion instead of using the green onion. I think I like that a little better. I'll just use the green onion as garnish because I like it crispy instead of cooked into the soup. This stuff is fantastic!
