How should I reheat BBQ??

I have some pulled pork left over from Christmas dinner that I'm going to have for dinner tonight. It is vacuum sealed and frozen. How should I reheat it? Is it best to just throw it in a pot of boiling water?

Yes, simmer the bag, don't boil vigorously.  Another option is to remove from bag and steam.

I just add to a plate, add a shot of water, then microwave covered for a few minutes. Comes out great every time.

You should have eaten it on Christmas. Never as good reheated. Best way I have found is to steam it in one of those collapsable steamer baskets in a saucepan (no bag) for a couple of minutes. Not perfect, but the best I have found.

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

I've actually found that it is as good when simmered in a vac bag.

  • I just reheat in the vac bag at a low simmer.  I also put some of my vinegar sauce in the bag when sealing.

  • put the meat in a strainer over a boiling pot of water to heat the meat, also keeps the meat very moist.

Search for RRP's Coke method. I have used it many times and always with great reviews.

  • I tried the "simmer in the bag" method last night. It turned out pretty good that way. I will try some of the other methods next time.

    Thanks for all the help!
