Smoked almonds in three flavors

Just finished my first batch of smoked almonds. I smoked them with the A-Maze-N-Smoker with apple and hickory sawdust for five hours and let rest sealed for six days. The first flavor I mixed up some dark kayro syrup, honey and soy sauce and baked for about ten minutes. The second one I beat an egg white until it was nice and fluffy and coated the almonds and then coated liberally with down and dizzy and baked. The third flavor was kind of a put together spicy mix made up of chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper and turmeric. I was pleased with them all just wish I would have added more cayenne...

  • It does take 5 hours of smoke cause the skin on them is a bit harder for the smoke to get threw.
Good job. I have a bunch sealed up and going to finish on Tuesday before the crowd gets here
