Bradford pear wood?

Unknown
edited November -0001 in EggHead Forum
In Texas bradford pear "Pyrus calleryana" trees are everywhere. These are decorative, non-fruitbearing pear trees. I'm cutting one down this winter and was wondering of the wood would be suitable for smoking.[p]Thanks,[p]Ed

Ed in tx,[p]A buddy of mine brought me a load of what he called "pear" wood, I was excited to get it. Turns out it was Bradford Pear and it basically burns odorless. The fruitwood pear is great, the bradford pear doesnt add much, if anything. Just my experience.[p]Troy
