Stuck firebox

I went to clean my small today but I couldn't remove the firebox. It was stuck to the egg's wall. I tried to pry it loose with an oyster knife but didn't want to put to much pressure and crack it or the egg. Any suggestions?

yup, I was gonna say, put some heat, maybe a torch carefully or even get a little fire going on the bottom and see if you can't get her to come out. Probably glued in there by drippings and ash."Tell me what you eat, and I will tell you who you are."
