Raise the Grid

Just got my LBGE and looking for suggestions on an after-market product to raise the grid. I don't want a plate setter because I like to do some things direct on a raised grid. Thanks for your help.

Plate setter is still a good investment. However, if I had it to do over again I think I'd get an adjustable rig from ceramicgrillstore.com or a swing rack from ceramicgrillworks.com.Mark Annville, PA

I picked up 2 firebricks from HD for $1. You gotta get a platesetter (or adjustable rig) for indirect cooks. IMO that's what the egg does best.

Like @Chris_Wang said, without an indirect piece you just have a grill. With an indirect piece, you have a smoker, grill, and convection oven.Mark Annville, PA

I did mine just like his here in the link. I bought a weber grill from lowes, $9. And stainless bolts, $12.
