Chicken / food safety question

I prepped a bunch of chickens for last weekends party and I still have 2 raw left.

I bought and prepped them last Thursday (one week ago to the day). They have been sitting in the fridge uncovered since.  Are they safe to cook/eat tonight?

If your refrigerator is right above freezing, it's probably fine.  Most guidelines cover refrigerator temps up to 40F and have a 2 day max.  But they're overly cautious.  Chicken is cheap, if there's any sign of funk, just chunk it, or cook it up anyway and see how it tastes, then feed it to the neighbor's dogs if it's funky.

The smell like a heavy dose of DP Cowlick lol   I'm probably just going to toss them and run to the store and grab some burgers

They are OVER a week old being just refrigerated --  what does a chicken cost??  Isn't worth getting sick on in my book..  And good fresh chicken makes a good meal  ---  old fresh chicken is not!

Chicken went in the trash, ran to butcher and got some fresh ground beef (they were grinding it as I got there)

    Burgers were AWESOME!

Good move.  If you even have to ask, toss it.

Cruthirds Country Corner. It's a little gas station near me in D'Ville but they have a FANTASTIC meat counter. Very fresh. I love the place. It's not far from the Promenade north of the Interstate off 110

What if you've had the chicken 5 days, and still have 4 days until the "Best if used by" date?
