This should be off topic since I didn't do them on the Egg (time constraints), but I could have.  I'm posting this because it's a fun thing to do.  Take a regular corn tortilla, spray with Pam on both sides, form it on an upside down muffin pan, and bake indirect at 375° for 15 minutes.  Also, my garden is just starting to come in.  My jalapeños in the beans, my sorrano chiles in the guacamole, and my onion in the tacos.  Tomatoes not ready yet.

By the way, they didn't crack up like regular taco shells.

(Note) I get my tortillas fresh from a Tortilleria, but if you get store bought ones, heat them in the microwave first, covered by a damp cloth, for about 30 seconds, to make them pliable.

    Puhleeese !  That exact placement is part of the Zapatec Indian harvest ritual of Oaxaca Mexico.  It represents a religious belief dating back thousands of years.  The higher fork represents the sky and the prayer for good weather.  The lower spoon represents digging into the earth to harvest the bounty.

    Nah. I'm just left-handed and lazy so the "proper" Anglo-Saxon way benefits me in that respect.

    For an old guy with one ball you still can come up with a good idea.
    Salado TX & 30A  FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Just given a Mini to add to the herd.

    Most excellent! Does it work with draping the tortilla over the muffin cups, or are the tortillas too big? Which tortillleria do you go to? Fresh tortillas are the bomb diggity (since I don't make them myself!)

     

    And I thought the consensus was to use "outtta" ( a consensus of 1 person still counts as a consensus IMO).

    I thought about draping them over the muffin cups, but they wouldn't lay down enough around the sides.  Just now, it dawned on me that I could have loosely tied them with a string, but my brain was slightly impaired at the time, and I didn't think about that.

    There are several tortillerias around town, but the one I go to is in a little strip center on the corner of Hillcroft and Bellaire.  Just say "una libra, por favor" and give them a buck.

    Here's a picture of the tortilleria I took with my iphone, but it's out of focus.

    Thanks, VI. I'm in that neighborhood occasionally, so I'll give them a whirl. I like the Kroger in-house "tortilleria" (at least they're fresh) so I'm sure I'll like your joint.

    And that's about all the Spanish I can muster too. :)
