Cheap Rain Keeper offer while I Egg

Cost me all of $12 for the hole saw, had the umbrella which I don't use a whole lot anyway, now in the NW I won't get soaked while I egg!

  • OK stupid thing won't upload a picture...
  • Anyway, I just took a hole saw and drilled through both levels of my wood table and stuck an umbrella in it.
  • Smart fix. Never thought of that one!!

    I added a Plastic Fishing Rod holder and 8" cafe umbrella to mine....just no clean burns
    with the umbrella open.
  • Ok, now the pictures worked.

  • @six_egg, that's why I worded it that why, feels a litttle redneckish, but, it worked.
  • Fletch,

    Just make sure that rain storm you are cooking under doesn't come with a good size squall with be gust of wind???  Cause it will flip that table faster than you think!!  Maybe causing your egg to break and spread that hot lump coal all over the place....

    Nice solution!

    Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

  • @Charlie Tuna, living in the NW the max wind gusts we get are 60 - 80 mph. Since I am not planning on leaving it up all the time I am not concerned, it will only be put in the table when it is raining and I egging.

    @smokeypitt, thanks.

    Looks like a great way to keep under cover while egging in the rain! The simple solutions are usually the best.

  • @double, yea if I wanted to get real high class I would figure out how to string chili pepper Christmas lights to the umbrella.

    Now you can get Big Green Egg lights not just chile peppers.
