I just read the recipe for Clay's Pulled Beef BBQ as I want to make it this weekend. The recipe calls for
Ingredients:
• 3 Choice chuck roasts
Should that read 3 lbs.? If not what size chuck roast does the recipe call for?[p]Thanks

Everyday is Saturday and tomorrow is always Sunday.

Retired RailRoader, nope 3 roasts is correct. Last two times I made it I started with 10+ pounds of beef. I love that recipe!

    Retired RailRoader,
That's 3 chuck roasts, might total 7-10 lbs of meat depending on thickness of cut. Look for prime with good marbling of fat- just like a steak. I prefer boneless.

another secret that was in Clay's original thread before it became a recipe was in stage 2 add a diced apple and by the final cook that apple will have blended into a wonderful twang. I prefer Golden Delicious and would highly recommend it due to taste and the characteristics when cooked like that.

    RRP,
Thanks Ron. I gotta make some more pulled beef for a birthday party. Hope it starts to cool down outside.

    RRP,
Not at all my friend. I'm a little slow in responding. I type like I cook, nice and slow. :o)

  • RRP and Clay Q,
Thanks for clearing up the question I had. I am looking forward to making it. Hopefully I will post pics when completed.[p]
