fishlessman,[p]It's hard to get an idea of scale here with nothing to compare it to...but are you saying this thing is big enough to fit a 3-3 1/2 lb fryer on each of those sleves? [p]Have you ever seen this thing loaded with birds? [p]Inqiuring minds... [p]Evans[p]You're killin' me with fishing vacation plans...I would love to go up there and do some Smallie fishing that time of year!![p]I may not get to do a fall fishing trip this year. :>(

    Chubby,
ive been hitting the smallies on the weekends,my camp on sebago lake has a great spawning run in the spring, now they are a little deeper. ive had the camp for a little over a year and the largest so far was over 5 pounds caught at 65 feet deep. great fishing with wooly buggers on a 9 weight flyrod. ive seen a picture loaded with the birds, but dont know how big they were

    <p />fishlessman,
heres the pic with it loaded. it was first built to work on a medium egg. The dimensions are 12 inches wide and the flutes are 4 inches tall. The picture shows the holder loaded and 3 extra chics leaning against the others. Space between the flutes are about 4 inches but would be better with 6 inches apart. The birds average 3.5 lbs. each.

    Chubby,
20 lbs of catfish, cut, 120 loaves of home made bread later, and a bunch of non important phone calls, you saying I just woke up? or maybe it was just a dream ( nightmare )..............LOL[p]Using my grate mates to suspend a stuffed brisket on my small egg, can't wait to get 'er done.

    Chef Wil,
Saw Emmeril do a stuffed brisket in a dutch oven in the oven last night. Do you do it on the egg? Can you share the method? Want to give it a go.
    Thanks, Bob

    fishlessman,
not trying to tell you how to fabricate your holder but if I do it again, I'd do 16 inches, fit 8 holders on the outside, and make a loop handle in the middle, to rotate and pick up the whole thing without having to fight picking it up from the bottom.

    bobbyb,
yes its done on the egg. Holler for WooDoggies on a new thread, he has a pictorial of the whole setup. He did an eggcellent job of showing how I did it.

    Chef Wil,
6 holders will be enough for my needs, i was thinking of maybe a detachable basket for the middle and maybe a raised grill over the basket for potatoes etc. i can see the need for a handle. thanks for the idea
