Newbie here. What are your favorite rubs for beef, pork, chicken and seafood? Also what brands?
I have used John Henry's pecan for baby back ribs and their chicken tickler for chicken. I'd like to get some different perspective as I have only had a few cooks on the egg so far.

I got a rub called "Jake's Grillin Beef Rub" at Wegman's recently and it's a great coffee based rub. I've used it on NY Strips with great success. Of course, I love my Dizzy Pig rubs so far too.

Well , put the red eye express on the burgers and the wife did not like it!. I thought it wasn't bad. Maybe not a good spice to put on burgers?Peachtree City, Ga Large BGE

I tried the red eye on burgers and kind of liked it, we had them without buns that night though. The red eye has a very bold flavor and it seems to work with heavier flavored meats. I liked it also on some t-bone lamb chops.George

Plowboys (yardbird and bovine bold) and Simply marvelous (All are good but particularly season all and cherry) are the only ones I've had that I really think are worth the price. I've tried dozens and quite a few are bad, most are ok but haven't wowed me enough to justify repeat purchase. The ones I mentioned above are my absolute favorites that I always keep on hand.
