So tonight after dinner i put a 3/4 pound frozen roast *(internal temp was 21degree) on the egg at 350 temp dropped to 290 and is slowly climbing up . Any bets on how long a cook it will be to a internal temp go 145 ? also put some cow lick on it and hickory and a chunk of maple sugar wood in

Although I never tried it, I have read that low n slow frozen butts don't take very much longer than refrigerated butts of similar size. So your time line may not vary as much as you'd expect. Let me know what your verdict is on time and flavor. thanks.

I won't bet, but... 3/4 pound is a pretty small piece of meat. At 350, should take 35 - 45 minutes if at room temperature. But frozen? Takes a lot of energy to melt ice. I'll guess and hour and fifteen, w. some of the exterior charred.

From 21degrees to 145 internal took 2hours and 15 minutes and the egg brought it self back up nicely with no adjustments need . resting now soon to be cutLarge Big Green Egg , XL Big Green Egg . BBQ Guru, Weber Kettle, Weber Q grill for road trips.

Let us know how it tastes. Is it 0.75 lbs or 3 to 4 pounds?

LOoks good dude. My wife always does the roast from frozen. We buy a whole cow each spring so have frozen. She puts the whole thing in a lecreset dutch oven in the oven and it just sits all day on 275. Always awesome_______________________________________________XLBGE
