British view on Barbecueing

I grew up in the UK, where the word "barbecue" brings to mind cheap metal grills cremating "beefburgers" in the back garden. I moved to Georgia 13 years ago and bought a BGE 3 years ago: this introduced me to the art of "low 'n' slow" and I have not looked back. I thought this item on the BBC web site was interesting.

Andrew Crane, we have a couple from England that come to visit us every couple of years. I introduced them to ceramic barbecuing and they insist on it every visit now. On their last visit (jan), Roy saw a disposable 'whole pig' cooker in Miami. He was extremely intrigued by it and is now in the process of developing a 'permanent' type hog cooker. He is being quite secretive about the design, but says he has used it several times and makes adjustments after each use. His biggest accomplishment he says, is the fire department has not had to call!! He was very interested in the ceramic grill design and it's workings, I wouldn't be surprised if he tries to combine metal and ceramic into it.
