Cut ribs to fit?

Is it OK to cut ribs before cooking to make them fit? I bought an 8lb bag of babybacks from Costco today, and had a bear of a time fitting them on my large egg. I ended up bending them, bone side down to fit, almost in a semi circle. I have a ribrack and was going to use it but the racks were so large that they bent down on both sides.
Would it have been OK to cut the racks in half to fit them all? They turned out great but I got the gasket all dirty trying to fit them in.

It's fine either way. A lot of stores even sell them as half racks. I cut the small bones on the ends of mine off if they have trouble fitting.Large BGE Decatur, AL

Be very careful, I cut ribs in half and when I put them on the egg they exploded.
Just kidding, they came out just fine, lol. -
