Mold on my gril
DJ
Posts: 7
Has anyone else opened up their BGE and noticed mold growing on the grill surface? I am sure that it isn't harmful and simply a result of food remains, moisture and temperature, but I would love a solution. I have never seen this with my gas grill, or old Weber charcoal grill.

DJ,
This is not a problem, just a sign that you have a pretty good gasket. Give it a good burn. Use your egg more often and it won't happen!

Morning DJ,
After a cook while the egg is still hot I wire brush both sides of the grill to get rid of any food remains, wipe it down with a rag & she's ready to go. Lot easier to clean this way.
