Bourbon Brined Turkey Tonight!

I made a 10 lb bourbon brined turkey tonight. Sorry, didn't get any pics, but it was really good. Got the recipe from the BGE cookbook. Honestly, it is not really brined. It was injected with the bourbon brine. We are doing another next Friday. This was a trial run for next week's dinner party.

Like the smaller turkeys much better. Just never found them under 11.5 lbs. if need more meat cook two.Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Just given a Mini to add to the herd.

@Mickey, I got the bird at Wal-Mart. This is the first non-holiday bird I've ever bought. They were all under 11.5 lbs. As a matter of fact, mine was about 10.5 and it was the biggest one they had.Mark Annville, PA
