How long till the coals die??

I am making a last minute decision to do an overnight cook on my pork butts. Prob is I just did burgers an 1 1/2 hours ago. How long till the coals die after the cap and damper are closed. I need to clean out ash and organize lump for a low and slow. Help??

don't worry so much. stir the coals, pour some lump in and clean the bottom.I grill therefore I am.....not hungy.
