Please help in building a xl table

What is the dimension x for the xl bge I have been told 12 1/2 and have also read that this needs to be greater with an extra larger BGE. I plan to put it on a 2" paving stone. Any suggestions for a xl table plan would be greatlyappreciated. At what hieght have others placed the bottom shelf?

Follow the plans on the Big Green Egg web site. They are easy and the cost of the build is inexpensive. Made mine out of pressure treated and trex decking. Don't forget to take the thickness of the decking into account.

From the top of my shelf to the top of my tabletop is 14.5 inches. But this is only possible with a notch cut out of the tabletop so the hinges can drop past the tabletop. I like it better though because less of the egg sticks out above the tabletop.
