Touble with my Polder

I recieved a Polder for Father's Day and use it most of the time I'm cooking on the Egg.  However the last two times I used it, I get false readings for the Thermo Temp section.  Last night, while preparing Drunken Chicken, the probe read 220 even though the chicken was cold . As soon as I plugged it in the temp was 220. It did decrease to about 170 eventually, but I know it wasn't reading properly.  I tried everything, but could not get a proper reading. Does anyone else ever have a problem with this?  Any suggestions?
