My dome needs to move forward . How?

Eggers, quick Q from someone who hasn't used her Egg in a year or so:
My dome needs to move forward towards me 3/4" (standing in front of the handle). In other words, the dome is sitting too far back relative to the base.
I have a large BGE with the 2 big springs on either side of the hinge. Which bolts or nuts do I need to loosen to pivot the dome forward?
On the hinge, there are 4 bolts shaped in a backwards L. These bolts do NOT attach directly to the band. 3 bolts form the long side of the L.
Is the middle of those 3 bolts the one that I need to loosen in order to pivot the dome forward?
I tried calling BGE customer support earlier today but they are closed. (Butterball doesn't close on Thanksgiving! BGE should have a customer service hotline running on July 4! )
The guy at BBQ Outfitters in Austin / Lakeway might know but no one answered there either.

The answer seems to be hidden in first sentence in the first reply.
I hope I won't have to take off the springs because that is scary.
I just created the fastest hottest fire I've ever started. Thankfully, I'm only doing chicken thighs and rib-eyes, so no long and slow, but WOW. Smoke was coming out the bottom vent in big PUFFS, like there is a dragon inside, and my temp gauge was pegged at 700. Haven't seen that before. It's a combo of very old charcoal and some new charcoal in there, so that can't be attributed to just new charcoal. Maybe it's the gap letting in extra air.

Hot fire. Keep in mind physics... Heat = fuel + oxygen. If you have fuel, old carbonized wood and or new carbonized wood, just introduce more air to get a hotter fire.
You will probably have to remove those springs.
At times the bands need a little adjustment.
Carriage bolts that tighten the bands down onto the grill at times not tight enough, this will cause a little slack in the bands which give the spring assembly a little play. What happens is the springs try to open the dome but they are not strong enough to do it.....they can pull the dome up in the back area. If the spring assembly opens a little it will cause the dome to pull in the back and the only place the dome will actually touch is the front. This is the most common problem the eggs have.
To reset:
1.) Have someone hold the dome open for you
2.) With a set of locking pliers clamp on the top of the spring and pull the spring up and off the assembly.
3.) Once both springs are off (large egg) carefully close the dome
4.) Loosen the carriage bolt on the dome band and remove the dome
5.) If replacing the gaskets, remove and replace the gasket as per instructions.
6.) Now the important part....when you put the dome back on tighten the carriage bolts until the bend away from the grill. Don't worry you will not break the ceramics.
7.) Have someone open the dome while you put the springs back on.
What you just did is reset the timing on the spring assembly.

I have a co-worker that has a gap in the rear of his BGE. Will this procedure work for that fix also you think?

I adjusted my medium without taking the springs off.
Close the lid.
Loosen the clamping bolts
Adjust the dome so it is even with the base all around
Adjust the height of the bands so they are the same distance all the way around as the distance they are at the back near the hinge. This DOES NOT mean push the bands all the way up and down to the indent on the egg, see the pic below.
This solved all of my alignment problems. My theory is that people are pushing the bands all the way to the indent on the egg and they are not the right distance apart, which throws off the alignment.

Thanks!
I'll experiment with these suggestions one evening before the next time I egg.
