I'll bet that was interesting to watch....deer are pretty to look at but if they get to comfy they can play heck with gardens. That's why you need the poodle - to keep them in check! :laugh:

Great photo, I'm surprised the deer let the dog so close. The deer at my / their home drive my dog nuts. She may have no hope of catching them but they still put her on high alert. Love the poodle, my grandmother had a big one but it was a bit batty, my mother had smaller ones that were very clever.

Elizabeth this is my third standard and after a short time with all the deer we have around here they just hang. Have seen them get a little closer but not much.
Also I worry that the deer would hurt the dog bad if any closer.
Can't get this baby hurt:

She is just a lover.....
