Amaranth seed?
The Naked Whiz

Does anyone (Beli???) know where one would find Amaranth seed or what one might use as a substitute? I'm looking to use it this weekend on some camembert a la Beli.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Hi Whiz,
Down here Amaranth seed is available in just about any supermarket in the ethnic foods isle. There is usually a spice/herb display in the ethnic isle that has it. If you have any Hispanic/Latino markets where you are located they should be a good source also. Good luck.

looks like Beli has you hooked up, but if you need it sooner, a web search revealed that Bob's Red Mill has amaranth grain in their line of products
http://www.bobsredmill.com/organic-amaranth-grain.html
in the supermarkets around here, there is a pretty extensive display of Bob's red mill products in the baking aisle. in your markets they may also be in the natural foods/organic foods aisle if you have one.

Many health food stores carry it.
