First voyage last night.

Had a friend fly in from California yesterday and we wanted to try out our new BGE. I had to work late. So, we prepared the salmon based on the recipe on the website/in the little instruction book that came with the Egg. Wow! We made the asparagus bombs in the recipe section here. And I threw in some Rosemary red potatoes on the side. Not being a seafood lover, I had to try my hand at a few filet mignon as well. Didn't have the reds on long enough so I had to throw them in the microwave. But the salmon was awesome. Cranked up the heat when they were finished and seared the steaks. It was all awesome. Could have done without the steaks though. They were great, but I loved the salmon! I did use cedar planks and had a few Jack Daniels chips going as well. Can't wait to smoke some ribs and bake some pizza. Excited to learn from everyone here!
