I have bbq'd ribeye numerous times, using the same old spices and rubs. I was wondering if somebody had something new I could try?

Compound butter is really good. Bleu or feta cheese too.

Just pulled one off with salt and pepper. Real good....Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Just given a Mini to add to the herd.

30 minutes before grilling lightly coat top surface of the ribeye with course kosher salt. RT for 30 min, wipe off any excess salt and moisture, sprinkle with pepper. Pepper and put on egg salt side down. The salt alters surface protein sugars and gives a nice crust to the meat.
Optional: A pat of your favorite compound butter melted on the steak ...and you haven in your mouthLarge, small and mini now Egging in Rowlett Tx -
Salt and pepper work great for me, but I also like to experiment every now and then. Here is one I did:

Salt it,sear it.Then season it and roast it.Salt is the only thing that won't burn at high temp sears.I like FCBP of a light dusting of montreal seasoning.Main thing is do not overcook it.
