Well, I'm running out of patience and need some help (again).

I went in to edit my profile text and when I updated it my photo was missing. For the life of me I can't figure out why I can't use the image insert button and add the photo back.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks.

    Hey Leroy,
I've been fighting the same issue this morning. My image was missing and I re-copied and pasted from PB twice and still no image! Something's hosed up other than me this time methinks!

    That's because we're Olde Pharts.

I could get it fixed locally but there are no six year olds up this early.

I figured it out on my own the first time but last year I needed to update my profile and ran into the same problem - nothing I tried worked.

So I asked for advice and got it (along with a few other comments). It isn't as easy as it should be but I got it done.

I've been searching for that post and can't seem to find it. I may have to go back a lot further.

When I find it I'll re-post it for all to see.

Okay, for those of you who think I'm old and slow, you're correct. For those of you who think I'm still young enough to figure things out, you're correct too.

    I finally figured it out....

Keep in mind that I was only attempting to place a large photo of my Chicken Coop at the bottom of my profile. I wasn't trying to change my little LSU Chicken on my Post Page.

Go to your Edit Profile and add or edit your profile information. You might see one or more / marks in words like "we're" or "I'm" that make it look like this: "we/'re" or "I///'m" which should also be edited out. I have no idea why that happens.

You will need to go to the Other Information edit box with all the symbols and select the one with the Mountain and Sun on it (7th one from the left). That will open up a pane that allows you to insert the image link.

To insert the photo I used an image that had been uploaded to Photobucket. I copied the link and pasted it into the Path line. Be sure your cursor is where you want the image to appear.

Then click on Update. That should do it.

Try it and see what you get.

I'll think on it and let you know. Ooops! I just blew a fuse in my brain. That's what I get for thinking so much...

Well, following your directions I got it to work, with the exception of having to remove the

On one of my attempts I also had luck removing the from each end of the link but I forgot to hit the update at the bottom and I lost the image. There's a definite process but apparently without detailed instructions. You're welcome. Spring "Try Try And Try Again" Chicken

Daaayum. My mind does the same thing when I think on it. Do you think it could be related to the early am porcelain callings?    :woohoo:
