new band issue

Installed a new band/spring assemble and the dome is off by about 1 inch. Installed bottom band and tightened. Then centered dome on bottom, tightened top and the dome shifted off center. Any help would be appreciated.

When I had this problem in the past I was told to loosen both bands and the nuts on the bands and hinge assembly. Now that they are all loose move the dome over the base and re tighten the bands then lastly re tighten the hinge nuts to the bands. See if that might work for you. Tim
