Hey Gang,

I came across this medium this morning:
http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/for/2366698326.html

I can't tell if it's an egg, but just a really old one? Or is it a knock off?

If it's one of the old ones, can they be used to cook on? Are they worth anything?

Ted

I emailed the seller on the medium, just to see if it's a real BGE or if it's a Kamado. Not sure if the old units are worth anything, but it might be neat to have as a conversation piece.

Needless to say, I'll try to negotiate, as I won't pay $210.00 for a conversation piece.

The owner replied to my email.

The medium is a Kamado. It is in fine shape with only a few chips around the opening of the dome. The firebox is in good shape with no cracks. Only the grate is rusty from not being used regularly.

He doesn't sound like he'll take much less than the asking price. I'm going to pass.
