Does any know what type of bolts are needed to attach the mates to the band? I picked up a used nest/mates from someone that was missing the bolts to the mates. Was curious as to what i would need to get at the big box hardware store around the corner. Thanks!!

Self-clinching studs. Don't think you'll find them at the big boxes. Could be wrong though. This place is widely known. Might give them a try...

They are called "cinch bolts" pronounced sintch...I would be truly amazed if you could find them at hardware store..let alone in the proper size..they are tapered so they seat flush on the inside of the band and they are self locking so they don't spin...BGE would certainly sell you some or even give you the exact name or size you would need....give em a call..

It's been a VERY long time since I looked at any of the instructions...but it looks like you got it right...I stand corrected.

i just mention it because i think i actually stumbled on them at an ace hardware store. you know those older mom and pop stores that have the aisle of nuts and bolts you can buy singly? i am pretty sure it was there. might even have been a home depot. i broke one, but can only recall that it wasn't too hard to find.

of course, these days it's getting harder to find anything other than a damn drywall screw at the 'hardware' store. apparently they don't sell hardware at the hardware store anymore

  • Thank you kind sir for the bolts. I received them a few days ago, but due to a fried motherboard, am just now getting back online. At any rate, i just finished installing the mates. Sure do appreciate it!
