What temp did you use ?
What temp for pizza? -
I put both pizzas and calzones on at 500 degrees and cook for about 15 - 20 minutes. I find when using the plate setter the tempurature doesn't get much higher and the bottoms browns and crisps nicely

Oh Man Thanks ! I just got mine today. Can't wait to try that !

we love calzones on the egg and our fav is with left over pulled pork and bbq sauce. provolone for cheese is really good!

Enjoy I think they turn out great.

Looks like they came out real good. I don't mean to correct you but a real Calzone in not made with Sauce. What you have made there is a Stromboli. A Calzone you server sauce on the side and is made with Mozzarella, Riccotta cheese, and Ham.
-
I learned something. I thought the only difference was a calzone was a pouch and a stromboli was rolled.

Hey buddy, thats the real Italian way. Looking forward seeing you in a couple of weeks bud. :woohoo:

if you go to the italian north end of boston, you will find that the italians dont know the difference, i see more calzones with sauce and strombolis without, and calzones flipped into a pouch or rolled like a stromboli  i almost think its handed down in the families so that each family can argue at lunch time, my momma makes the best calzone, no your mother makes a bad stromboli, heres a real calzone, thats not a calzone, have a bite of me momas calzone then after lunch they can go back to insulting each other :laugh:fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it
