Richard, thanks for posting the info. Bookmarked it and sent link to #1 son who spent a year working there. Drooling over the large mortar and pestle and small wok. Birthday soon...dropping hints forthwith.Large, small and mini now Egging in Rowlett Tx

I have one of these I bought from a thai grocer in CA for only $22.00.
I put it in my weber kettle and just put the weber lid on when I'm done to snuff out the fire.
Perfect for unsing with a wok or most any grill grate.

Hard to tell if yours is the older version or the new one with metal pail around it. Do you like using it w/wok?

Richard, thanks for posting the link. This will be useful.
Heavy snow Sunday, and more tonight and tomorrow. Last Friday was pretty dang nice though. I almost thought I could have been driving on the inter-coastal highway... I had to close my eyes and picture the ride.
Hope you are doing well. Kent -
Richard,
Mine does have the metal bucket and handle. It doesn't have the bottom damper door & Mine is not as nice looking but does the same thing for $40 less.I like using it with my wok. Some woking recipes are cooked quickly so you don't have to wait for your egg to heat up and doesn't use as much charcoal.I Stil like to wok on the my egg. This Thai cooker is just another toy!

I saw something just like this at a local Hmong grocery store. Nice website.

That looks great, I've been trying to find something similar since I saw a show with Keith Floyd using something similar on a beach. Now, just to find one in the UK!.....
