I have the BGE 3 tier rack, which i am not in love with due to the pole in the middle. what are the must have accesories from this store.

Have plate setter, 3 tier rack, pizza stone already. Thanks for the help in advance.

Adjustable rig. I rarely use my plate setter now. Cooks at multiple levels, direct or indirect.

Not sure what size you have, so I'll guess a Lrg.
I have the old style 3 tier rack (non-adjustable) which is a PITA to get to what you are grilling on the middle and lower grids. I smoked 2 racks of spares Wednesday and with the ribs on the middle rack and tips on the top grid. That made me get off the fence of indecision :ermm: and called Tom. He suggested I start with combo kit and try it out for awhile and then see what else I might need.

  • I have everything in the attachment except the drip pan and stone. I got it about a year ago and have yet to use it. I know, that's terrible, but I always use the platesetter. If I got the stone, what advantages are there to using the adjustable rig for indirect cooking? I really want to use it but I seem to use the platesetter a lot. Thanks

Not that I am an expert (been procrastating for a long time) :ermm: but in my understanding the spider & stone setup would give more height if needed.
Maybe a vertern user can help us both out!

  • If you are looking to replace the three tier rack I would get a spider, stone, stainless drip pan and the adjustable rig, in oval if you are planning on doing a lot of ribs, round if not. If you are planning on still using the three tier I would just get the spider and a stone.

You want opinions, I got one...

  • Spider and Adjustable Rig Combo.

I like the rig extender and sliding aparatus too for ribs. I got some awesome drip pans, stones and a wok...think thats it.

What has me intrigued now is that new indirect heat stone that will cover the edges of big briskets and ribs...
